    Too quiet?
    We have had our Schwiegen extractor for 4 years now, and love it. It is so quiet that we often forget that it is on (perhaps update the software to time out after an hour or so?). We did notice once that it was not drawing exhaust, only to find that some creature in our roof had eaten the ducting to the fan! Easily replaced and no problems since.

    A must have!
    We bought the silent rangehood a month ago or so and we are very happy with our choice. I couldn't stand the noise of a regular rangehood! I couldn't hear my own thoughts. And now... we can't hear the rangehood so my husband jokes that I should start turning it on when cooking. It looks elegant, has very good lights and it is powerful. I can't imagine any better rangehood.

    Excellent product, serious about construction qual
    This is an excellent extraction solution, anything cooking under the hood is taken away. The motor is not completely silent but that may be a factor in the outlet fan location being closer to the kitchen than optimal, but we were restricted in area. Certainly it's not loud and a huge improvement on internal fan rangehoods. Cleaning is also a great advantage with the insert filters being sized for a dishwasher. Overall, this is a great product with a superb stainless steel finish and quality of construction that is to be expected for the price you pay. I would recommend buying the bigger 1600f/m fan, just because it's better to have it and not need it very often but it's there if you do need it. The 900f/m fan is adequate on the highest setting for most applications though.
