I have two long haired dogs and a long haired cat, so pet fur has been a constant struggle in our house, the Jet 70 is light weight and picks up all the pet fur on the medium power setting. I have used a dyson previously, but found it heavy and you have to constantly hold the trigger, where as the Samsung is push the power button and off you go, no changing head settings between hard floors and carpet, which is great. Have also made good use of the additional fittings for the bathroom fan, ranch door sliders and car etc . Recommend!

The vaccume itself and its ability to pickup firt and dust etc is great and i'm pretty happy with it. It seems to do as well as the older model dyson's max setting but only on medium. Its also lighter than the dysons and better priced. However I've found the dust canister material and design to be flimsy and poorly designed. I've had the vacuum for only 3 months and already the notch where the lid locks and clips in place has cracked! Meaning its very difficult to open and close the dust canister and may break further meaning it dosen'st open or close properly at all. Not surprising really given how thin this bit of the canister is and the material of the canister itself. Its made of a cheap plastic and opening and closing mechanism is cumbersome and the action itself would probably increase the wear and tear of the canister. The Dyson dust canister and open close mechanism makes alot more sense (press a button and the lid opens rather than having to take apart the whole canister by way of twisting the lid off only held in place by a notch in the plastic. This design especially doesn't make sense for those that intend to use their vacuum often and therefore need to empty it every time. I know Samsung have a emptying machine but why should customers have to buy an additional machine in order to just easily empty the dust canister without it breaking/wearing and tearing? For this reason i think i'd think twice about purchasing this vacuum as the dust canister is an integral part of it and if it doesn't open or close and breaks easily the vacuum itself can't be used or won't be as effective. It also puts into question the longevity and robustness of the vacuum itself.

We had to upgrade from our old Electrolux vacuum and decided to splash out and get a fancy one. This Samsung one does not dissapoint. Its amazing how much it sucks up, is easy to empty and clean.
