    Overview

Rheem has been producing hot water systems in Australia since the late 1930s. For decades, Australians have relied on Rheem to ensure every shower and tap consistently provides the hot water they need. This model can be preset to 60°C, if needed for the kitchen or laundry.

A continuous flow hot water system will ensure you never run out of water supply, no matter how long your family or housemates spend in the shower. Additionally, this system doesn’t need to store hot water so you don’t need to install a bulky hot water tank. This allows for flexibility, giving you more options for installation locations.
    Hot water for medium-sized families

This hot water system has a hot water flow rate of 27 litres per minute, making it suitable for homes with one to three bathrooms. If you have a busy household consisting of four to six people, this should be well-suited for your household.

    High temperature system

This hot water system can be adjusted to temperatures higher than 50°C, if your laundry or kitchen requires hotter temperatures. If you need a higher temperature, the installation of tempering valves for bathrooms is required to prevent accidental scalding.

    Efficient engineering with LPG gas

This exceptionally efficient hot water system heats water with LPG gas, and is designed to ensure low running costs and low emissions of greenhouse gases. A design that is kinder to your budget and the planet.

    Compact design

Thanks to the continuous flow system, you don’t need a big storage cylinder to keep hot water. This makes this system a compact solution for your hot water needs, making it easy to find a place to install the unit.

How much to disconnect current tank system and install a rinsing 27 Allan · 2022-11-21
Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, there is a little more involved when upgrading from a tank to a continuous flow system, your plumbing Gas & water supply pipe will be 1/2" this will need to be upgraded to 3/4" (20mm) for any continuous flow system, Best to chat with your plumber about how much needs to be upgraded. You will need a 10amp outside waterproof PowerPoint installed near the new hot water system for the electronic ignition and cooling fan system. Lastly, you have selected a hot water system that is rated at 60degrees and any water from a hot water tank to any bathroom or ensuite must be restricted to a maximum temperature of 50 degrees by law, so your plumber will have to install a tempering valve which mixes cold water with your hot water to reduce the hot water to a maximum 50degrees all other areas of the properties hot water taps will have 60degrees coming from them. You would be better off getting a few quotes to have this done you may also look at water temperature controllers for different areas this will allow you to control the hot water temperature which may eliminate having to mix your bath/shower water. Is the reem unit made in Australia? Mike · 2020-10-16
Hi there, Thank you for your question. This product is manufactured in Australia. Kind Regards, Appliances Online Milly, Appliances Online
Hi, why would there be a difference between pre-set temperatures on these systems? On the Rheem 16L it is pre-set 50 degrees and on the 27L it is pre-set 60 degrees? Can these temps be changed on each system to a range or is it pre-set temps only? Peter · 2019-06-16
Good morning, Thank you for this question, By Australian Law hot water going into any bathroom or ensuite may not exceed 50 degrees, any hot water systems rated hotter than 50 degrees must have a tempering valve installed by your plumber this mixes cold water with the hot before it enters any bathroom areas this will be an added cost to the consumer, all other hot water tap outlets will have 60 degrees coming out. Does not matter on the literage of the units there will be models pre set at 50 and 60 degrees, when looking at hot water if you have a single bathroom a 12 to 16 ltr system would be ok, if you have two shower areas 20 to 27 ltr models would work better and for three bathroom areas a 32 ltr. Please also select the correct gas type for your area, Natural gas or Bottle gas"LPG". I hope this information will assist you when shopping here with us at Appliances online. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
