A little disappointed in this purchase to be honest. Thought I would get a good quality jug for the price. However it is sooo loud the whole house knows when you are boiling it, and it makes tinny sounds when you take it on and off the base.

Great, compact, stylish, kettle. Happy with my purchase. If there was one aspect I would eagerly upgrade, it’s the dark, water level. I want to see this illuminate, like the switch, when turned on, so as to easily see the water level. Please do this, Breville. Excellent, thanks.

We were looking for a new kettle for our new home. As soon as we saw the Breville Soft Top Luxe we were immediately drawn to its elegant style, it stood out from other kettles on display and the satin black finish looks brilliant in our predominantly white kitchen. The other feature we were looking for in the kettle was quiet operation, but as we couldn't test that, we bought it on looks and perceived quality of the Breville brand. We were delighted to find, when we first used it, that it was considerably quieter than any previous electric kettle we have owned, so we are extremely happy with our new purchase.
