John waited tables in Sydney prior to entering the industry as a delivery driver for a big-name Sydney brand in 2001. After a year on the road he worked in sales and marketing positions for two years before starting up Appliances Online in 2004.
John began Appliances Online in his hometown of Sydney with a laptop, a delivery truck and a desire to bring the old-fashioned customer service values of the shopfront to the online market place. In six years he has overseen strong growth beyond the Sydney metropolitan market and the establishment of warehouses in Melbourne and Brisbane. Today, Appliances Online is a truly national business that has successfully delivered to over 100,000 customers. Under John's watchful eye this figure has been earned through hard work and smart management. Utilising excellent supply channels and the recruitment of bright, young staff, it is also a figure that is on the rise.
A typical entrepreneur, John is something of an over-achiever. His sporting achievements have included being crowned 2002 World 29er Sailing Champion, 2002 National 29er Champion and 2000 National Mogul School Skiing Champion - not to mention the titles he won on the way to these sporting heights! Always on the , John enjoys travelling and soaking up the cultures of the world. The North American continent remains a favourite destination due to its proximity to the innovations of the online industry.
