Our Black Friday Cooking Appliances Sale 2026 is just around the corner. This doesn't mean you can't find current Hot Offers & Deals on ovens, cooktops, freestanding ovens, rangehoods and microwaves. Planning a kitchen upgrade? Compare appliance dimensions, connections and installation requirements before shortlisting your favourites.
Start with what you need to replace and how you cook. Updating one appliance means checking compatibility with your existing kitchen. Replacing several gives you more choice, but the appliances still need to work together.
Appliance | What to compare | What to check before buying |
|---|---|---|
Built-in oven | Usable capacity, shelf positions, cooking functions and cleaning options | Cabinet cut-out, ventilation and electrical or gas requirements |
Cooktop | Fuel type, cooking zones, controls and cookware space | Benchtop cut-out, connections and rangehood clearances |
Freestanding oven | Oven capacity, cooktop layout and fuel combination | Available width, installation clearances and connection requirements |
Rangehood | Style, extraction, noise and filter maintenance | Ducting or recirculation, cabinetry and installation height |
Microwave | Internal space, power and cooking functions | Bench or cabinet dimensions, ventilation and any required trim kit |
Explore our Ovens & Cooking range or read our Kitchen & Cooking Buying Guide to compare your options.
Choose an oven around the meals you cook most often. Check usable internal space, shelf positions and whether your usual baking trays and roasting dishes will fit. Advertised width alone does not tell you how much cooking space you will have.
Compare functions you expect to use, such as fan-forced cooking, grilling, steam-assisted cooking or a food probe. If you regularly prepare dishes at different temperatures, consider whether a double oven or separate cooking compartments would be useful.
Pyrolytic cleaning is worth comparing if oven cleaning is a priority. It uses high heat to turn residue into ash that can be wiped away once the oven has cooled. Check the model’s instructions for preparation, accessories and any areas that still need manual cleaning.
Shop built-in ovens, read our Oven Buying Guide or explore our Pyrolytic Oven Buying Guide.
Compare the cooking surface, available connections and space for your pots and pans. More burners or zones are only useful if your cookware fits comfortably when you use them together.
Before ordering, compare the manufacturer’s cut-out dimensions with your benchtop opening. Two cooktops advertised at the same width may require different cut-outs.
Shop cooktops or read our Induction Cooktop Buying Guide for more help.
A freestanding oven combines an oven and cooktop in one appliance. Compare the oven and cooking surface separately so both suit your needs.
Check the full dimensions, surrounding clearances and fuel requirements. A dual fuel cooker typically combines a gas cooktop with an electric oven, so both connections need consideration. An induction freestanding oven may require changes to your electrical supply.
If you are replacing an existing stove, note its model number and connections before comparing alternatives. Similar external dimensions do not guarantee a straightforward replacement.
Explore freestanding ovens and stoves.
Choose a rangehood that suits your cooktop, cabinetry and ventilation options. Check the required installation height and clearances in both appliances’ instructions.
For ducted extraction, confirm the duct route, outlet requirements and any additional components. If ducting outside is not possible, check whether the rangehood supports recirculation and which filters or kits it requires.
Compare noise and extraction figures at the settings you expect to use. Include filter maintenance and replacement costs when deciding which model offers value.
Shop rangehoods to compare styles and installation options.
For everyday reheating and defrosting, compare internal dimensions, controls and power settings. Check whether your dinner plates and containers fit, rather than relying on the litre capacity alone.
If you want to bake or brown food as well, compare convection or combination models and the cooking modes included.
For a built-in installation, choose a model approved for that purpose. Check the cabinet dimensions, ventilation requirements and compatible trim kit where required. A benchtop microwave is not automatically suitable for enclosed cabinetry.
Shop microwaves or read our Microwave Buying Guide.
Before choosing a Black Friday cooking appliance deal, compare the exact model number and everything needed to get it working in your kitchen.
If you are buying several appliances, compare any available package with the cost of purchasing each item separately. Matching finishes can help coordinate your kitchen, but each appliance still needs to meet your requirements.
Eligible in-stock orders include Free Next-Day Delivery. Enter your postcode to check available delivery dates and services for your address.
Installation for ovens, cooktops, stoves and rangehoods is a separate paid service where available. Check the product’s installation requirements and available services before ordering.
Free Connection is available for eligible freestanding microwaves in serviced areas. This basic service does not include built-in installation or fitting a trim kit.
Replacing an old cooking appliance? Arrange Free Removal & Recycling when ordering. Your old appliance needs to be disconnected and ready for collection, unless disconnection is included in a booked installation service.
