I have had numerous LED LCD TV's and the Sony KD-55X8500B is by far the best I have ever owned. The picture quality of the 4K viewing is to put it simply, Superb, which is by far an understatement. The upsacaling of Blu-Ray Discs shows you details that you normally miss and the colours are so vivid and eye popping. Even normal broadcast TV is better than what you see on other TV's. The 3D viewing is brilliant as with the upscaling like normal viewing as mentioned before it is dazzling. If you are looking for a new TV this is the one you need to buy as I compared this TV with other manufacturers products and like anything with the Sony brand it is streets ahead of the rest. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Sony!!

What a great TV, from the moment it's on the picture is just so clear and crisp. The 4k up scaling works wonders on HDMI input, which for us is primarily through the PS4. Sound quality is also high from the factory fitted speakers making it a good package at a formidable price compared to other manufacturers. The menu system can sometimes be a little fiddly and to get to what you want you have to go via a few other things first but i guess when you're limited to arrow keys for movement selection it's bound to happen. The one thing which can be frustrating but it is not limited to this TV, I've found it on all latter gen Sony TV's is the program guide load time. My first Sony 32' LCD used to load all channels up. I find now I have to select a channel from the group to get them all to load up, i.e channel 7 to get all of 7 and 9's channels. Overall a fantastic TV, can't recall the amount of comments it's gotten for both how good it looks with it's style or the picture quality it delivers.

So far i have been impressed with my Purchase of this Sony 4K Tv. While there is little content i have actually seen in 4k, the stuff that i have is unbelievable and can't wait till there's more wanted Content and more Mainstream Support. Most of my viewing has been Blurays and Dvds, and the Picture Enhancements provide a better overall picture and encourages me to rewatch all my Favs again, and streaming content from the Youtube app looked much better than i expected. I actually love the Design. Simple, Basic, as i have my sound running through my Sony 7.1 amp, so no Speakers on the side in the Design of the Tv to conflict with viewing pleasure, and with minimal bordering, it makes viewing full screen content even more worth it. Sound itself, like most Tvs i'd only recommend viewing Soaps and the like, if need be. The Sound quality is great though but lacks the extra loudness that Amplifiers with larger speakers provide. One thing i find frustrating at times is the Design of the Controller wheel on the Larger remote, it's thin line design around the Directional wheel, sometimes results in accidental pressing of the secondary wheel when scrolling. Thankfully, Sony includes a Second remote. I'm thrilled with my purchase. Thanks Sony
