The induction cooktop is generally well-received, with customers praising its ease of use, sleek design, and excellent quality. Highlights include fast heating, precise temperature control, and energy efficiency. However, some users note it takes time to adjust to the touch controls after using gas, and the glass surface can show marks and cause cookware to slide. Cleaning the cooktop can also be challenging. Overall, the product is considered a great choice, with most customers very satisfied with its performance and value.

    not recommend no temp control
i brought this 2 weeks ago and already not happy, i agree with other person who wrote"When first turning it on it works as expected the auto zone detections and power setting bar,but when it’s been on for a while and I want to turn the power up or down it does not respond. The only way I can change the setting is if I lift the saucepan off and place it back down.Cooking on this appliance is a nitemare. Therefore I would NOT recommend purchasing this hob. stuck with a cooking lemon, how it doesnt have a plus or minus for changing the temp is beyond me. i did research but didnt think it would have no temp control. very disappointed. but stuck with it, going back to using the camping induction cooker i had been using . have tried to ctc smeg to ask am i missing something with this, have donwloaded and read instructions and am still baffled how the most logical thing in a cooker - ie temp control is not in this unit.

Clean Lines, but difficult to operate.
I purchased this appliance for my newly renovated kitchen although it looks great, and it is easy to clean; it is difficult cooking on it. When first turning it on it works as expected the auto zone detections and power setting bar, but when it’s been on for a while and I want to turn the power up or down it does not respond. The only way I can change the setting is if I lift the saucepan off and place it back down. And this does not always work sometimes it takes several attempts before I gain control of the cooktop functions. Cooking on this appliance is not a pleasant experience. I would give a four star for appearance only BUT it only deserves a two star because of its operation difficulties. Therefore I would NOT recommend purchasing this hob.

    Questions & answers

I have a Smeg 900cms 5 ring gas on glass cooktop that I want to replace. Will the 900cm Smeg induction fit? It is set in caesar stone. Thanks Lorraine · 2025-01-03
Hi Lorraine, Thank you for your question. Unfortunatley, without knowing the exact model of your current cooktop, it is not possible to advise what will fit in the existing cutout. If you are able to locate the model number of your current cooktop, please give one of our friendly team a call on 1300 000 500 and we will be able to find a suitable model to replace your current one. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Appliances Online Adam Vaccaro, Appliances Online
Is the electric cooktop installation of $299 include the removal of the old gas cooktop? Jacq · 2024-11-03
Hello Thank you for your product inquiry. The installation fees are typically comparable when replacing a cooktop with a similar model. However, if you’re switching from gas to electric, additional work is required. Your plumber will need to terminate the gas supply and disconnect the existing cooktop. Then, an electrician will have to install the appropriate electrical cable from the switchboard to the cooktop location due to the higher electrical requirements. Additionally, you may need some modifications to the cutout to accommodate the new cooktop. If your benchtop is made of stone, a stone mason will be necessary to cut the stone to fit the new cooktop. I have a bench cutout of 870x470mm will this cooktop fit? Andy · 2024-08-29
Hello Andy Thank you for your product question. On our website, we have provided the cutout dimensions. The required cutout dimensions are 840mm wide x 482mm in depth. The width is suitable, but the depth may need to be slightly increased. Your installer will be able to make this adjustment onsite, so please refrain from modifying the benchtop unless you have the new product onsite for a check measure. If you have a stone benchtop, the existing cutout is only suitable for the old cooktop and will need to be modified to fit the new cooktop. We hope the information is helpful to you as you shop with us here at Appliances Online. Our Sydney office operates 24/7, and we can be reached at 1300-000-500. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
Can the cooktop be plugged into the wall socket of the previous electric cooktop? Does it need to be hard wired? Michael Mariadas · 2024-02-08

Electrical Connection Type of connection: Hardwired Connection requirements: Needs to be hardwired by a qualified electrician Connected load: 7.7 kW Maximum current rating: 32 A This Cooktop will need to be connected on its circuit from the switchboard to the cooktop location with a suitable electrical cable to match the 32 amp connection.
