Excellent. The Apps allow access to many audio & video files, programs for all tastes. I especially like the BBC news feature, Google maps and weather. Although content loads pretty fast, some files are slower to load. Not a major issue, though.

This is my first Blu-Ray Player and I absolutely love it! Combined with the Samsung LED SmartTV (6420) the picture quality far exceeds my expectations. The up conversion on non BR DVDs is phenomenal! I thought I might have to replace my favourite DVDs with the BR versions but with the up conversion on the 5500, I don't need to do that. I haven't used the 3D yet so can't comment on that. The remote is easy to use. And if I lose it, I can use the controls on the front of the player. I also love the slim sleek look. Recently I was visiting at a friend's who had bought a Sony system 6 months ago. The picture quality was no near that of the Samsung. I am so happy with this player and highly recommend it.

In search of the best blu-ray player in the market, I had to purchase and try 9 players from 6 different brands. This player was the best among them. It supported the most number of video and audio codecs to play MKV movies, and the load time for BD disks was indeed faster than than rest. It also played more than 1 DVD format, and connected easily to my network in case I wanted to stream movies through DLNA, but I won't need that because this player was among the few which could read my 1TB NTFS hard disk to play movies from it. Also Samsung has the best and most number of apps, period. If you own a Samsung TV, don't buy other than a Samsung blu-ray player. You can control both the TV and the player with your TV remote. If you own any other TV, also go for the Samsung player because you will get the most of useful features with it. Ignore those negative reviews out there. I didn't see anything negative with this player so far. I will be returning all other blu-ray players and keep this one. It has the best value and meets all my needs and more.
