    The DE5205-70 Series 5000 Dehumidifier from Philips offers 2-in-1 capability in the form of dehumidification and purification.

    Maintaining optimal humidity levels through dehumidification is important in improving comfort levels, eliminating musty odours, preventing the growth of mould or mildew, and for other health reasons. The digital humidity sensor gives accurate and real time feedback on humidity, then the compressor and fan work accordingly based on this information for effective results. VitaShield and the NanoProtect Filter effectively remove ultra-fine particles, leaving you with cleaner, healthier air.

    Use laundry mode with your damp laundry, it will help your laundry dry more effectively, while preventing excessive build-up of moisture in your room.
    Automatic dehumidification control with pre-setting

    Automatic dehumidification control allows you to pre-set the humidity level at 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, and 80% room humidity. In auto mode, fan speed will automatically adjust to achieve optimal dehumidification performance.

    Purifier ONLY mode allows you use as purifier in dry season

    With simple one-touch control, the appliance can be used in purifier ONLY mode. It operates under auto mode by default. Whenever the current mode of appliance works, it goes to purification ONLY mode when touching the button. Humidity setting and laundry drying mode are off in the purification ONLY mode. This protects you and your family from pollution and allergy all the year round, especially during dry season.

    5 fan speed setting

    Easily choose 5 different speed settings, from 1 to turbo. Gives you all the flexibility of usage to suit your preference.

    Healthy air lock for filter replacement and full tank alert

    The healthy air protect alert lets you know promptly when it is time to replace the filter. If the filter is not replaced promptly, the appliance stops functioning - to avoid ineffective purification. So you are assured of healthier air always. Full water alert warns you when the tank is full and shuts down the appliance to avoid water spillage.

    A Premium Disappointment
    I expected far better from a top-of-the-line Philips product, but this unit has been a major letdown. The LCD screen failed within six months, and getting it replaced was a frustrating, time-wasting ordeal. Even when idle, the unit sporadically emits an annoying clicking noise — likely from the fan — which is especially irritating in a quiet space. To make matters worse, the white plastic casing noticeably yellowed on the sun-exposed side after just over a year. That level of visible degradation is unacceptable for a product in this price range. Overall, the performance and build quality have been far below what I’d expect from a flagship device. I won’t be buying another Philips product again. This marks the third time I’ve been let down — and it seems like the quality of Philips products has steadily declined over the years. Three strikes, and you're done.
