[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased an LG 65 sm8600pua nanocell television as a Christmas gift for myself and my family. It was an upgrade over a 55" TV that had served us well but was nearing it's tenth birthday. Cute age for a child but a bit long in the tooth for a television. We were quite pleased with all elements and features of the set until about seven months in. At this point I noticed a faint line crossing the screen. It wasn't very pronounced but just one of those things like losing a tooth as a child. You can't help putting your tongue on the spot. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have to put my tongue on the screen, nasty, it's just not being able to see anything but that line! I contacted LG and in no time flat they had a technician with the correct parts on the truck, miracles of miracles right, and promptly cured the TV's ailment! Yeah! All remained well until about 13 months later. A different screen defect began to catch my eye just like the lost tooth. It was just a whiteish discoloration in a small section of the screen. Knowing the TV was a pretty good margin beyond manufacturers warranty I still contacted LG to see what needed to be done. I spoke to a couple of reps, I sent a couple of photos, a pretty good trick for my 63 year old brain to pull off while still on the phone, and awaited a reply. I was notified quickly that a one time parts and labor repair would be made, as a friend of mine used to say, free and at no charge!! Guess if I was happy? If you said no you should seek medical help! Shortly there after a large box was delivered and shortly after that a really nice man named Russell showed up and brought my TV back to it's original beauty! Lets go backwards. Russell is great. FedEx is great for bringing the big box. Servright is great for coordinating the repair. The customer service folks on the phone were great. Last but not least by a long shot is LG, have you guessed it, that's right, they're GREAT!! In closing, as appreciated as when an old Baptist preacher says that in a 99 degree sanctuary, I am not one to endlessly pontificate over positive reviews. Conversely I am the don't say a darn thing when I'm happy and whine and moan endlessly when I'm let down kind. This is that exception. LG has proven themselves to be the kind of company we all wish companies would be but are almost never even close! Thank you LG as a business and thank you each and everyone I encountered in this experience. I will continue to shout your name and names at my every opportunity.
