We bought this range hood as we were advised how quiet it would be. We live in a high rise apartment building so I think we actually bought the wrong one as lots of the ducting was not able to be installed. It is no quieter than what we had before & cost more than any other appliance that we replaced when we had a new kitchen installed that included dishwasher, oven, microwave & induction cooktop. We should have done more research but it's too late now as it is all installed. Maybe if this was installed into a free standing home the extra silencing ducting would be great but for us it was useless.
