Broken product after 4 months of use so not real good quality.

The unit itself worked well. I measured the space where it was to fit into the bench top. Previously there was a 60 cm cooktop. The new one was 70 cm but the details said it would fit into a space fit for a 60cm cooktop. It should have. I satisfied myself it would fit but I overlooked one dimension that was not given in the details. The stone benchtop where the new unit was to go, backed up against a wall that had a stone covering the same material as the benchtop and was around 25 mm thick. The width from the back edge of the glass of the old 60cm cooktop to the main body of the unit that was to fit into the cutout space of the benchtop, was smaller than the new 70cm one. This meant that the back of the glass of the new cooktop hit the back wall behind the benchtop. This pushed the front end of the main body of the new cooktop out so that it didn't fit into the benchtop cutout. This meant that the back of the main body was further into the cutout space than it needed to be and the front of the main body of the new cooktop missed going into the cutout space by around 5mm so it just rested on the benchtop. I had two choices. I could grind away the cutout at the front, or I could grind a gap in the wall equal to the thickness of the glass. I decided to grind the 5 mm off the front of the cutout space. I had to take all the drawers out of the kitchen cupboards and cover everything with rags to contain the dust of the grinding operation. It took me over an hour to grind it. Eventually I got the new 70cm unit to fit into the benchtop. The unit works fine now, no problem. Just make sure the unit will fit and take into account the above mentioned dimension. The specifications should show this dimension so people can be sure it will fit. If you have to do some stone grinding like I had to, I suggest getting a good pair of ear muffs and a mask.
