I tell my friends I am having an affair with my new Dyson. I can' t leave it alone so easy to use let alone what is picks up. Who knew so much grit is laying around...although we do have home under construction around us. So happy with my purchase.

Bought a DC25 last week to replace the DC01 purchased in the early 90's. Had been fooling myself for too long that the old machine was doing ok but when I dismantled it found the belt had broken - sadly the age of the machine means I can't get a replacement although all other parts are in good condition and there are filters not used yet as I bought about 50. The speed at which the new bin filled up on the first vacuum shocked and shamed me - it reached the MAX bar so fast that had to manually remove some of the fluff as it was so thick and would not slide out. May be an age thing but written details on the pictures of the cleaner would make it easier to understand what I'm looking at, although it was easy to work out how to access the grey insert in the clear bin so that dust could be cleaned out with a brush. It is more noisy then the DC01 but easier to move around. Hope to have the length of service from this one as from the original.

Just bought myself another Dyson upright vacuum, DC25 and I already love it. Compared to my old DC07 this one is so much better to manoeuvre around the house. The suction is fantastic and I love the extention part of it. I also love the fact that you just have to press a button to go from hard floor to carpet. The only down side is that it is very loud on the hard floor. Sounds like a second motor starts up. Other than the noise it is great on carpet, hard floor and especially the stairs and furniture. I am tempting my sister to buy a Dyson vacuum also.
