This is an excellent product! I have two cats - one 2yo and a new kitten. I knew they shed a lot of air but I didn't realise just how much. I had my apartment carpet cleaned during the week and when I brought my new DC22 home today I thought I'd give it a quick trial - expecting there wouldn't be that much to pick up...how wrong was I! I did a rug (that was steam cleaned 4 days ago) and two chairs and have been amazed by what my DC22 picked up. The suction is clearly excellent, but it's also so compact and easy to maneuver. I have to admit I loathe cleaning (but I love a clean apartment) but this vacuum makes it easy. Great for dining chairs - will be giving it a run on mattresses next. I'm looking forward to an improvement in asthma and hay fever. Definitely recommend you give this unit serious consideration.

This compact machine is perfect for compact living. As an owner of two cats and having allergies to dust, I don't know how I survived until now. It makes vacuuming a breeze - in fact, since getting my Dyson I have become a little obsessive with vacuuming - is 3 times a week excessive? I cannot rate it highly enough and recommend it to anyone.

This machine is portable, well made and the accessories clip on securely. However, it is noisy, the wand cannot be adjusted to just the first position and is too short. The power cord could be longer also. My machine only switches on and off at the machine- I would prefer if the handle had a on/off button. The excessive width of the telescopic wand at its hilt means it can't reach narrow spaces eg between furniture. The plus is the floor tool which can reach comfortably under furniture. The machine vacuums well. However I think I will go back to buying a Nilfisk in future.
