    Unlike conventional air conditioners which use a refrigerant, evaporative coolers use a more natural process. The unit draws warm air and cools the air with evaporating water. This process is ideal for hot and dry climates, as it also humidifies the air.

    This 7-litre evaporative cooler from Dimplex has four modes to choose from so you can adjust the settings for optimal cooling while you are sleeping, or if you prefer natural wind cooling.

    This efficient, healthy method of cooling works by utilising the natural process of motion and the evaporation of water.

    Air Purification

    In addition to cooling, this fan also purifies air by filtering out dust particles through its water tank.

    Humidification

    This cooler fan also works as a humidifier, providing you with naturally humidified air to alleviate dry air symptoms associated with other cooling methods like itchy eyes, throat, or skin.

    4 Cooling Modes

    You can select from four different modes such as smart mode, which automatically adjusts the fan speed based on room temperature. You can also select natural or sleep mode which alternates the wind speeds based on your preferences.

    It works!
    This evaporative cooler is much more sophisticated than the early ones with reliable temperature control. I have ducted evaporative but there are some areas that need more when over 40 degrees. It was also great on its own in bedroom, with water lasting all night.

    Glad I didn't spend too much
    Now that I own one, I can add my voice to the many others in confirming that portable evaporative coolers are not very good at cooling rooms. Very glad I didn't waste my money on another more expensive brand/model.

    Good morning, Thank you for this question sorry I did not notice this question this ok for Queensland it's not an air conditioner which is suitable for small areas and removes the humidity whereas this cooler is ok if you are in front of it you are able to add cool bricks to the water to assist but keep in mind you might be adding to the humidity if you want to reduce the humidity then look at portable air conditioners these will need the window kit that is supplied to be used to exhaust the hot air and humidity outside these kits are suitable for Vertical & Horizontal windows only.     Good morning, Thank you for this question as these are not an air conditioner with a compressor there is no venting required or supplied with this type of cooler, these can be used as a straight fan or by adding water to the storage tank allows air to pass through the water drawn up to the top of the machine over the filter which allows the air drawn in from the back to pass through this water to provide cool air, keep in mind it is NOT an air conditioner but a cooler one step up from a fan only system.
