I bought one of the Crepe Creations many years ago, and I used it almost daily as a multi purpose flat top grill, doing everything from pita breads, tofu chunks, grilled sausages, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, Pizza (finished under the grill) - everything - including what it was designed for - pancakes. Unfortunately after many years it gave up the ghost and I've been unable to replace it in S. Africa, so I've joined the site to see if I can get a friend in Australia to buy a couple and send them to me. I do not accept 'empty stars' so the five stars are for: Quality of product. Ease of use. Ease of cleaning. Good variable temperature. And style. Hint: Put a close fitting dome with a small steam hole in it on this plate and use it as a warmer for breads, sitting on top of a round cake wire frame.

This product is extremely versatile. It can not only make the perfect and delicate crepes, but I also made many other dishes for breakfast. For example, eggs, pancakes, or even crispy bacon. I love the temperature settings. It can be controlled easily, thereby allowing me to get the perfect results that I am trying to achieve.

I bought this a couple of months ago and have used it three times. There must be something wrong with the heating element as it burns on the lowest temperature setting, which makes it useless. The only way to use it is to continually switch it on and off during cooking to ensure that crepes don’t burn before they are ready to flip. I’ve reverted back to using a pan on the stove.
