This fan will blow your socks off. It will blow anything anywhere. It is more like a propeller than a fan: even on the lowest setting, it could propel a small aircraft. Prepare for a blast. It makes a sound to match. It would be ideal fan for an outdoor area where you need lots of air movement and noise is not a concern. However, it is unsuitable for indoor use in a domestic setting. I regret this purchase.

Too noisy. Instructions to set up not clear. I thought it had a copperish tinge from photos - but just stainless steel look. Otherwise - does the job.

This is my second Dimplex standard fan purchase. The first I bought 15-odd years ago and still works well. I'm hoping this new fan has a similar future. It's relatively quiet - I use mine in the bedroom in summer, where it keeps me cool, keeps the mosquitoes away, and provides enough white noise in the background to block out street noise. I've only ever had reliable service from Dimplex products. Having to assemble it was not what I was hoping for, but it wasn't that difficult. Would recommend this brand.
