    Overview

    The Smart Temp Slow Cooker from Breville delivers mouth-watering slow cooked meat and other dishes with set-and-forget convenience. Set to cook as long as required and the unit will do the rest, plus once your meal is ready it can automatically keep your dish warm until you’re ready to eat.

    Temperature IQ automatically sensors and controls temperature to prevent overheating, so you always get great results. Pre-programmed functions with low, medium, or high settings suit a plethora of recipes. The low power wrap around elements ensures even all around heat for up to 10 hours. You can use the removable, dishwasher-safe for both cooking and serving. Once your meal is ready take this premium crockery bowl to the table for serving.
    Auto Keep Warm

    After the cooking process is complete, the unit can automatically keep your food warm so it’s ready to eat when you are.

    Set-and-forget

    Shattered glass lid
    I bought this slow cooker less than 6 months ago and only used a handful of times. Today whilst slow cooking with it, the lid shattered out of the blew ruining the meal. Extremely disappointing after only a few uses. I was otherwise happy with the product.

    The Handles
    Brought this on the 30th August 2024 but was abit worried if the handles got hot but brought it mainly as it had a timer&warm function.I used it on high for 4hrs then warm for 1hr and the handles didn't heat up.

    Smart Temp Slow Cooker
    This appliance is great apart from the front panel, as others have stated, where the LED's stopped working and now I can't even work out what the time is or anything. Am currently searching to see if I can get a replacement part.

    Good Morning, Thank you for this product question, Sorry No you are not able to place this on your stovetop this is 100% electric only this will come with a 10amp plug and lead attached that will allow you to plug it into your normal home PowerPoint.     The bottom of the Breville® BSC420BSS Smart Temp™ can get warm but it will not damage counter tops. Breville-au Team
    1) What is the smallest roast for this particular SC? 2) Can I programme to cook for 2 1/2 hours? How do I do this? 3) Must I add liquid when doing a roast as I am concerned not to? 4) Can I use oven bags in SC to make 2 different meals. Irene · 2019-07-08
    Good morning, Thank you for this question, you are able to program this to cook for up to 10 hours, you are not able to pre-program this to start and stop as it is not a programmable timer. This model has a capacity of 6Ltrs, a couple of your questions are something a home economist may be able to answer for you and I will direct you to Breville for this such as cooking in oven bags, what size roast and adding liquid to roasts.
