All things cooking, cleaning, chilling and more for the hard-working heart of your home.
The short version: The number one best-selling plug and play oven with our customers in 2026 is the Westinghouse 60cm Multi-Function Oven (WVE6314SD), featuring a generous 80L gross capacity, a smudge-resistant stainless steel finish, and an $849 RRP. Across this top 10 list of standard-sized 10A plug-in single ovens that don't need to be hardwired, average capacities sit between 66L and 85L, and prices are generally under $1,000.

Plug and play ovens offer the convenience of a sleek, built-in look without the added expense and hassle of hiring an electrician to hardwire them to mains power that most regular ovens require. Simply plug them into a standard 10A power point, and they are ready to roast, bake, and grill.
Available in refined black glass and classic stainless steel finishes, these 60cm models slide neatly into standard kitchen cabinetry, making them a simple choice for quick kitchen updates or straightforward replacements.
To make it easy for you to choose from the many models available, we've compiled this handy list of top selling plug-in ovens popular with Appliances Online customers in Australia in 2026.
Appliances Online product expert Colin Jones shares his thoughts on plug and play ovens:
The good thing about 10A plug-in ovens is that they don't need hardwiring, so they can be cheaper to install - though you'll likely still need an electrician to pop a power point inside the oven cavity unless you're replacing a previous plug-in model or happen to have an existing power socket there.
It's also important to check the oven cavity size before you buy, because it's not just about the electrics. Some older ovens were installed 'proud,' meaning the front of the oven sits out past the cabinetry by about 20mm. In this instance, the cavity itself may have been built a little smaller to suit that design, which could mean it's not deep enough for a newer oven that's designed to sit flush. If that's the case for you, and you don't want the hassle and cost of getting a carpenter to amend cabinetry, it's worth looking at Chef or Westinghouse, since their ovens are designed to suit both flush and proud installations.
One more thing to keep in mind is that if you want a pyrolytic self-cleaning oven, a plug-in model won't cut it. Pyrolytic ovens need hardwired power to reach those intense 500-degree-plus temperatures required for the self-cleaning cycle."

What customers say:
We purchased the new oven because our old one was 15 years old and not heating up properly. WOW, what a difference this oven is, it heats up quickly, holds the heat well and the cooling fan doesn’t go on and on and on! It fits in the same hole that the old one was in but the new oven is larger plus it has a timer and a five year warranty. The dials are not so easy to read and there is no clock would be the only things that could be improved. Other than that we think we have made a great purchase." - The cook, July 2026 (originally posted on Beko ANZ)
