Type of dryer: The dryers on this list are a mix of vented and heat pump models. If you have an old machine, it’s quite likely a vented dryer, which expels hot air, either into your laundry or to an external air vent via a hose. The technology in heat pump dryers removes the need for external ventilation via ducting, so if the way your laundry room is set up means you experience issues with condensation from your old vented machine, you should look into heat pump dryers.
