Waking up with bacon

Have you ever slept in through your alarm?  Have you ever run so late in the morning that you’ve had to skip breakfast altogether?  Do you find it difficult to find the motivation to leave the toasty warmth of your bed’s covers each morning?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then you may need the Wake n’ Bacon!

Combining an alarm clock with a baking tray, the Wake n’ Bacon wakes you up with the unmistakable smell of cooking bacon each morning.  Set the alarm for 7AM, and by 7:04 the bedside table will be sizzling.  How could you resist?

We imagine that this would be especially handy when you’ve got a hangover, as it would mean no messing about at the stovetop or trying to work the sandwich press while your head is pounding.  Just roll out of bed, grab the bacon, and scoff.

Full disclosure time – the Wake n’ Bacon isn’t actually an appliance per se.  It’s a home-made invention, created by wiring an alarm clock to a set of powerful halogen lightbulbs that cook the bacon, all housed in a cute piggy-shaped box.  Just one more example of how creative people can be when it comes to cooking.

Rest assured though; if the Wake n’ Bacon ever becomes available for commercial purchase, we will look seriously at stocking it!

Mark’s favourite appliance is the Dyson Groom Tool, as he loves the concept of vacuuming your dog. Google+
