Appliances Online Goes Bowling – Top Gun Cup

Friday night 22nd October 2010 saw the innaugural challenge for the Appliances Online Top Gun Cup! Held at Strike Bowling, Fox Studios, ten pin bowling proved a popular sport with which to launch the trophy.
Competing in teams of four, all staff arrived at the alley with their game faces on. The arrival of this level of competitive intensity meant the lanes were soon awash with the sweat of concentration. A notable first game was bowled by salesman David Hodgson, whose silken action gave him the night’s highest single game score of 142!
Each team member bowled two games, counting their individual single game top score toward an overall team total. Whilst strong challenges for the trophy were forwarded by Hodgson’s Senior Salesmen and a mixed team known simply as the Underdogs, the Appliances Online Top Gun Cup was won on the night by team Management.
Composed of team members Pete Harris, John Winning (whose unorthodox ‘slow roll’ technique was a revelation), Scott Babbage and James Fleet, team Management proved too strong for all comers!
The anticipation for the next challenge event – to be chosen by the holders of the Cup – is already being felt at the offices of Appliances Online. Bring on summer and bring on the heat of competition!
