Sneak peak at the latest appliance technologies as IFA prepares to get underway

The world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances kicks off tomorrow, but we’ve already had a sneak-peak at some of the products that are going to be showcased here in Berlin.

Throughout the next six days Appliances Online be taking a look at the latest in technology, design and innovation for the home as it goes on show at IFA.

Up to a quarter of a million people are expected to pass through the doors, eager to see what is new in the world of TVs, fridges, washing machines and dishwashers, from the top international brands.

Leading the way are companies such as Samsung, Electrolux, Bosch, Siemens and Miele.

Our first day has already brought up some gems in the kitchen, with Samsung unveiling its new FoodShowcase refrigerator, which has a double door system allowing you to access bulky foods and beverages from different compartments behind the door.

Beko outlined its commitment to energy efficient innovations, with a presentation of the appliances under the motto “Inspired by a smart generation”.

The range of cookers, dishwashers, refrigerator/freezers, washers and dryers included technologies such as EcoSmart, EverFresh, and SteamPower.

DeLonghi unveiled a wide range of coffee machines and small appliances, including the Scultura range, which is offers “unusual designs mixed with traditional elements break up the daily breakfast routine”.

Kenwood’s offering included the launch of the popular Chef Titanium in white, and the hand mixer Chefette, which can be used freehand or attached to a base to whisk food in a bowl.

The Braun hand blenders in the Multiquick range included the new smart speed technology, which alters the blade speed using the squeeze of a trigger.

This small selection alone is just the tip of the iceberg in terms what’s to come. We’ll continue to travel around, speaking to the European experts from each of the brands and finding out about the most exciting products on display here at IFA.
