    Lesson learnt
    Wished I knew better then. Fridge has been causing a problem with frosting, when it gets really bad so many food (especially milk) goes to waste as it cannot keep a constant temperature anymore; our food in the freezer’s also gets iced all over. Since Samsung is a well-known brand, we chose to stick with their products as much as possible, now just after some years of having the fridge we need to start looking for another one again as the fridge is becoming a money gobbler. Tried to reach out multiple times to customer support but it never went anywhere, chatted to them but then all of a sudden I’d get no reply? Sooooo disappointed with Samsung and their post purchase customer service. Never thought I’d say this but stay away from this brand.

    Broke just 8 months after 5 year warranty:(
    So sad. Was told by Samsung rep that it’s $900 to $1100 to fix. Original price Now feels like a lot to pay for only just 6 years of use. Perhaps if they made the evaporator out of copper rather than aluminium. It would last better. Painful to take to landfill....

    Don't buy!
    Purchased this fridge/freezer 5 years ago. Thought it was great to start with but now it causes nothing but hassle. It has been serviced and yet we still have to defrost it regularly (despite it being 'frost free') to stop it from making a loud knocking noise at the back. Once defrosted, it lasts 4 months before having to defrost it again which wastes food, time and money not to mention very impractical and inconvenient for our family of 5. Do not buy this fridge freezer unless you don't mind buying another one in 5 yrs time.
