    Great Microwave with lots of extra features
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase as replacement for a high end product which did not last 2 year and was very noisy. This is much quieter and the shortcuts menu on the inside of the door is really handy. Fits into out tight little spot above the oven and so far has out performed the previous one in style and usability.

    Getting old waiting
    does not start on 1100watts you have to adjust it every time unless you want to stand there waiting for 5 minutes for 2 minute reheat. Very annoying!!!!

    Simple and thoughtfully designed
    It's early days - we just picked this up today - but I am already impressed. We can now get rid of our fancy stupid microwave (that shall remain nameless but we're talking major brand), which is only a couple months old but that drove us so mad that we want it out of our house. It has the stupidest UI you've ever seen - things like an 'add time' button that appears to be unable to do so under any rational circumstances, or having to press "stop" when the program has finished running, to clear it for the next use. Urgh. This Whirlpool microwave has everything we need: reasonable size for a single plate, decent power, a quick start button that can add more increments if you keep pressing, you just open the door to pause it, a stop button that both stops it running and clears programming ready for the next usage, a numeric keypad for entering EXACT time (anyone with young kids knows that milk warming times have to be to the second.... Ain't nobody got time for standing watching a countdown and stopping it at exactly the right time). No need to press microwave/set power first - it assumes full power if you don't specify. Rational. None of this four-hundred-special-buttons-that-I'll-never use on the front (I mean it still has a handful, but I guess you can't have it all) and I really like the addition of the plus and minus buttons which - before or even DURING cooking - can add or subtract time. Simple, well thought out, and just what we needed. Thank goodness!
