I bought this 3 years ago and it's now dead. When I was young toasters lasted for ever. It seems after more than 50 years no-one can make a toaster that cooks both sides evenly! Aarrgghh!

If someone could invent a toaster that cooks both sides the same they'd really have sonething. We can put a man on the moon yet we have to flip the toast over and cook it twice to get it even. All it would take is for the outside elements to have more windings because the inner elements at the centre are more efficient and get hotter.

I was forever burning toast so am loving my new toaster. Looks fab but is so much better than my last toaster. Works really well with the knobs and levers easy to use...
