After the previous fridge died just after 7yrs, we decided to go for a premium brand and ended up buying the 453l Westinghouse. well, the so-called premium brand Westinghouse died just after 3yrs of a gas leak which (as per the specialist sent by Electrolux) was most likely there when the fridge was purchased. We were left with a case reference to deal with the non-existent Electrolux Support Organisation. After 2 weeks of useless conversations with the customer support team (in summer and without a functioning fridge) we bought another fridge of a real premium brand. All we can say about Electrolux/Westinghouse is ‘stay away from this brand, it is not worth the money’.

We needed to replace our 11 year old Westinghouse fridge of a similar size. As we wanted freezer on the bottom and hinge on left we had limited options. We chose this fridge as our old Westinghouse had good features. We expected the new fridge to be the same standard or better, as it has much newer technology. Unfortunately this fridge is not as good at all. The reasons are: - The motor is so loud - The doors do not shut if you accidentally forget to close them - Doesn't beep to let you know door is left open
