I bought this unit before Xmas. I enjoy it and use it to make my smoothie everyday!!! Blend the fruits and veggie very well and easy to clean the cup and mug after use:)

My dad bought this machine for his house and trully its being disapointing. I usually use a 600 wt inmersion blender that does faboulous fruit ice desserts in a couple of minutes. This Vitamix takes forever!!!! I have to shake it not 5 but 30 times to get a fair liquid result, nothing similar to my creamy, soft fruit ice creams. I would maybe recommend it for soups or liquid smoothies, but if that is the instance make yourself a favour and spend 1/3 in other blendes that does the same.

The smaller to go cup doesnt make easy smoothies. Almost every time something gets stuck and I have to take out, shake, then blend again. For the larger container, cannot say enough good things about it! My boyfriend and I use this. If you have a family larger than 2-3 people I would suggest the larger size vitamix. (We also live in NYC so space is an issue & its fits perfectly on cabinet.)
