I bought this one for work. I take my veggies and fruit to work and blend juice at night for energy to keep going. I have a full size one at home but sometimes by the time I get to drink the premade jiuce it has seperated and I have to spend time shaking up. This one fits in my locker and I just love it.

I bought the Vitamix to upgrade from another name-brand blender, and I primarily use it to make smoothies. The Vitamix blends fruits and vegetables much better than my previous blender. I would definitely say that the fruits and vegetables are homogenized, even when the ingredients are frozen. In comparison to my old blender, this one takes up less space, is quieter, is easier to use, has a higher quality feel, and just overall has a better design. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for these reasons: - It does not handle nuts and dates as well as I expected. - The large cup is messy to pour from. Some of my smoothie drips down the side every time that I pour. - My previous blender had a lid with a flap that could be opened or closed, so that the smoothie could be poured without removing the lid. I miss this feature, as taking the lid off and setting it down means another mess to clean up.

I already own the larger regular size Vitamix which I use when I cook. My husband has a Nutribullet for daily use to make smoothies. He is on his third Nutribullet in three years. The machines keep breaking just out of warranty. I convinced him to not buy another one but get this smaller Vitamix instead. The refurbished price tag made buying it an easier decision. So far it's been great. I'm taking smoothies to work in the to go container as well. The 20 oz. to go container is slightly problematic. The lid is bulky and the latch is pretty tight and hard to open. The 20 oz. to go container doesn't hold as much as the Nutribullet container so it has been an adjustment. Once I learned to put in the right mix of leafy greans, fruits, ice and water - it's been a dream. Make sure you add enough liquid.
