Sorry to say that i have not used it yet... But it looks awesome

I have had this dry grain container for many years. It really gets a work out in the winter when I make fresh bread. Grinds perfectly every time!

I believe my Vitamix was purchased in the early 1990s. I've used it constantly since, especially the dry container which served to grind the rice for our waffles every Sunday morning since. It finally wore out this year, though the liquid one still seems okay. So I asked you which of available replacements would work. I guess I've had the replacement for over a month now and have been amazed to discover that it takes me almost twice as long to grind the rice kernels as it did with the old one. And the rice never gets to the desired fineness; I have to put it into an even more ancient coffee grinder that was purchased second-hand in the eighties to get it to the desired fineness. The shape is different; this is more square and the old one was more rounded. I don't know if that's the source of the lost efficiency. I won't return this since I'd have nothing to prep my waffles in, but I am very, very disappointed.
