[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 32 oz container to be able to store the machine under the counter and because I usually only need to make smaller batches. What I discovered was that I cannot put more than 24 ounces in the container because when I use the smoothie setting it over flows because the lid doesn’t seal. The mess is even worse when I clean it using water and just a drop of dishwashing soap. The 64 ounce container never leaks even when I overfill it. For the price I expected the same high quality I have with the larger container and am very disappointed with this purchase.

My granny had a vita mix, my mom did too I love vita mix products and happy I bought the additional extra container. Makes my vita mix even more helpful

I got a vitamix specifically for making vegan-friendly oil free sauces and dips. I loved the power and texture it brought but the 64oz was just flat out too big for me- making enough salad dressing that would blend well would require double or tripling my recipes, which I wasn’t enthused with. And making the right amount of hummus for me (1 can’s worth of chickpeas) was a pain because I was constantly scraping the sides trying to get it to blend right. The 32oz is just PERFECT! I just get a much better blend for smaller batches. I was shocked that a salad dressing recipe that would take 10 minutes of scraping and mixing took maybe a minute or two with the 32oz- all thanks to the more compact bottom that allowed a better blend with small amounts of ingredients. The only downside is that when I tried to clean at the highest speed it does seem to vibrate, but I rarely do that and I can’t think of anything I’d need to blend at that speed.
