My parents purchased us a new vacuum cleaner 2 years ago, throughout that time we only used the vacuum cleaner 5-8 times as our house was mostly tile and we would often get the same if not better result by sweeping or using a different brand handheld vacuum. We noticed after the 3rd/4th time that the vacuum would just turn itself off after 15 minutes or so of use. I would always ensure the vacuum was clean and clear of any blockages but it would continue to do this. I finally had enough the other day when it no longer would suck anything up and instead blew up and smelt like burnt electrics. I contacted Vax and they said that it is due to the filter needing to be replaced every 6-12 months but like i said we used this hardly ever. I do not recommend this vacuum to anyone if they are wanting something that works well and lasts.

Brought this product from target. Amazed by its suction power, but it didn't last long. Motor seems to be burnt and not functional any more. Lost the receipt, do didn't return. Our old vacuum bought at one fourth price in Gumtree still works. Don't recommend for matt floors.

Same problems as like everyone have. - Filter comes off on every use. - Suction point is ridiculous to hold all the dust in it. - Switched off automatically every 5 mins and have to wait 20mins to start again. - I bought bagless vacuum to save my time but it takes more time to clean than vacuum with the bag. - And finally burnt after 1 year, it means I can’t claim my warranty.
