No need to buy more expensive brands.
Having owned a number of Sony's I haven't previously considered TCL however recently having a disappointing experience with Sony made me considered less expensive brands. Read reviews of the TCL and also researched the technology and this tv is better value then a Sony with less technology that is double the price. The picture is as good as it gets with the current streaming and free to air offerings. Blacks are deep and contrast is good. Change the local dimming to low as I noticed when left on high it creates a fuzz on the picture on lesser resolution such as free to air. Turn off all motion enhancements as these are junk on all brands and significantlybdegrade picture quality. Great tv and there is no need to waste money on a Sony. Trust me. I have three Sony's and this is better than all of them.

Excellent service
Excellent service from appliances online. Delivered on time and great communication re the delivery time. This is the second time I have purchased products from appliances online and I can't fault them. Matt in product support went over and above my expectations- my new tv didn't have enough ports for both my pay tv and dvd player and when I contacted the support team, Matt emailed me with advice and suggestions then went on ebay and found me the cable I needed. Try getting that service at one of the big retail stores. If you are thinking of buying an appliance and wonder if appliances online is as great as the customer reviews say- YES IT IS. Do yourself a favour and buy from this site, this is the only place I will be buying my appliances from in the future Julia, Burleigh Waters, Queensland
