Have had two of these (one on warranty replacement) and both times the lever for raising the toast has broken meaning the switching does not work. Seems all the design effort is on appearance and none on making a reliable product. Other Sunbeam products are the same.

Very happy with this simple and easy to use toaster. The long slot means you can comfortably fit 4 slices of bread in to toast. The dials are pretty straightforward. I also appreciate the slide out "drip tray" at the bottom to get rid of crumbs.

I bought this 12 months ago and it has been in a weekender so only getting used for a couple of days every week - AND unsued for months in that period because of covid lockdowns. It gradually stopped cooking toast properly and now the catch to hold the toast down is not working. Now it is out of warranty and I am really annoyed. I didn't want a fancy taoster as the wekender is a shack, Just something that COOKS toast.
