This electric blanket is soft and warm but it comes with a slippery and flimsy nylon valance that does not stay in place regardless of how many times we tuck it under the mattress. The cheap nylon is also a slippery base for keeping sheets in place. It's a real flaw in the design, and considering the cost, it's an unacceptable oversight. I've noticed many other reviewers have complained about the same problem. I wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing the product.

I recently purchased this product online and chose it because it was machine washable, was a wool topper with a cotton backing; having receved it and putting it to use, two things are truely terrible about it. Firstly, the fitted skirt of the electric blanket is made of a very slippery synthetic material that causes the fitted sheet to continueously slip - considering the electric cord has to always poke from underneath the fitted sheet, there is no way it can completely fit over and underneath the mattress. Secondly, the finish around the wool topper is terrible, it is mearly overlocked instead of having any trim or piping and so with easily frey with time but wost of all the edges are going to continueously shed wool fibers. For the price, I expexted much more. If I had bought it in person, I would return it.

Heats up incredibly well and is comfy. Love the foot area of heating. I just wonder if the wool is actual sheep's wool or a synthetic wool. Can you tell me please?
