Always have brought Sunbeam Toaster and Kettles. This toaster does not brown.

Toaster broke after one use, the metal bar that stops the toast from falling through to the bottom bent so badly the lever wouldn't do down and the elements weren't working on one side. Can't believe this product hasn't been recalled after seeing all the negative reviews on varies sites. So disappointed as I loved the simple classic design. Returned to Good Guys for a refund.

Pros: Doesn’t take up much bench space. Will take up much less of your bench space after it dies Cons: Died 4 months after the 12 month warranty period expired. Crumbs get stuck in the thing even when you tip it upside down.
