This kettle is very dangerous as so many times when boiling, the lid popped up on its own which meant if I wasn’t close by, it would have ended up dry boiling. Reported it to sunbeam and returned it to AOL.

Purchased Sunbeam Kyoto kettle as I thought it would be a stylish addition to my matching 4 slice toaster. However I had to return the kettle as the lid would pop open during boiling or just after, whilst pouring the water into my cup. This was very dangerous as the hot steam would stream into my face. There is obviously a manufacturing problem. It is a fault with the plastic lid closure or the sensor on the boiling point. When the replacement kettle arrived, the same thing happened in the very first cleaning boil before general daily use. It still continues randomly now. It is a shame the problem exists because it is a stylish toaster & kettle set. Sunbeam needs to fix problem. Would not recommend purchase at this stage.

Takes a while to heat up. Doesn’t switch off for ages after it’s boiled, steam everywhere if you are not near to knock it off .Hard to see low water level. Expected better kettle from Sunbeam. Ery happy withe Appliances Online for ease of ordering and quick delivery, would buy from them again.
