We've had several of this sunbeam kettle, we're a larger household so usually have two kettles in the bench. Most features are great. BUT when something breaks, lid stops releasing, hinge breaks, side window cracks, there are no parts available. For an expensive kettle it is crazy to not support repair. I'm at the point of throwing another kettle into the bin because the little plastic window is cracked and leaking. Not very sustainable!

A month over the warranty period and the lid and the handle came apart! Luckily no one got burnt after I picked up the full kettle of boiling water! Just missed my hand! Extremely dangerous product.

Our first one of these stopped shutting off when boiled, and intermittently claimed to be empty when it wasn't. Replacement through sunbeam was a huge hassle and now the replacement is also playing up. Definitely a model to avoid.
