Apparently this is a common fault. Why continue to sell this kettle with this known fault. Shame on you sunbeam. It’s obviously a thermostat fault.Broken in under a yearHave this kettle at home, functions still work although during the boiling process the alert sound repeatedly goes off. It is worse than an alarm, beeps around 15 times in the minute or so that it takes to boil the water. Looked for a repair shop via this website and apparently there are none in my Melbourne suburban region... that's a lot of money to go to waste...Broke pretty quickly, so did the replacementOur first one of these stopped shutting off when boiled, and intermittently claimed to be empty when it wasn't. Replacement through sunbeam was a huge hassle and now the replacement is also playing up. Definitely a model to avoid.Legendary service
