    Quiet is not how I would describe this kettle. Other than that it is professionally made and so far reliable. It boils water. :)

    It's a nice kettle (if you get a good one)
    Our current kettle is a replacement for the original (bought through appliances online). The first one (same model) had the button which pops the lid up fail after a few months. This one feels much better and we are more cautious about letting it "slam" itself into the open position. Regarding the quietness, it might be quieter but I can't tell the difference. You would have to do a side by side comparison to tell. Is nice and quick to boil, and looks good. Note: Appliances Online handled the replacement of the faulty kettle without any fuss. After we returned the broken kettle (at their expense), they sent out the new one.
