I bought the egg maker in 2023 and it worked well for a year or so but the grey plastic egg rack started to crack after a few months and finally snapped. The plastic parts just seem really thin and cheap. Not sure if a replacement part can be bought or the whole unit has to be thrown away.

Shocked that the famous Sunbeam would even sell this junk, to whoever is managing Sunbeam. The point of the product itself is the auto shut off feature which it doesn't have. So now you are selling me a very expensive plastic steamer with no difference to the metal steamer everyone has already. And what a terrible buzzing sound, I was in the next room thinking the microwave was malfunctioning. If you don't want that noise you have to use the good old timer.

This is a great product. It makes boiling eggs really convenient and easy and I used to use it every day. The only problem is the grey rack will warp over time and this causes water to leak out of the appliance. I’ve stopped using it now because I think it’s an electrical safety hazard.
