Very disappointing in home use. Continual dropout of any station as I walk around the house and garden.

Good radio, agree with most comments but will add: Battery life: Like all digital radios, burns through the juice. But this is where rechargeable batteries really come into their own. I have two sets of NiMH (1800-2000 mAh) that I rotate. No probs with batteries and costs a fraction of ordinary batteries. Volume: I find the max volume of the radio too quiet for me. Lucky it's portable, eh? But plugged into the home theatre system, it rocks! I set the radio at low volume and pump it up via home theatre. Can't beat this! And it feels a little more solid than comparably priced radios. Oh, the specs aren't clear, but you have only 10 digital and 10 FM pre-sets, not "20" digital as the specs imply. You'll need the instructions to set past the three pre-set buttons on the top of the radio.

Have had radio one day and the batteries flattened overnight. What's going on here. Don't want it if I have to have it plugged in all the time. Is this usual ? If so, I will get a refund.
