I like listening to classical music and opera whilst I decorate, do housework or other mundane jobs and, unfortunately, so many of the small portable speakers I have heard in the past sounded just too tinny to do these justice. I read lots of reviews and did comparisons and the Sony SRS-X55 came out very favourably so I bought one. I am SO glad I did. The sound reproduction is excellent and surprisingly pure and clear for a speaker of its size, with very little vibration and a decent bass. It's compact and stylish, the build is solid and it looks and feels like a good quality product. It's very easy to set up and use (so long as you remember to disconnect from one appliance such as your computer before trying to connect it to another.) For such a reasonable price, you can't go wrong.

Unfortunately I have been unable to get the speaker to work with my laptop.

Good. Nice sound. Only complaint is slight delay between pictures and sound on bluetoot mode. Otherwise very good.
