very old now but works really good well pleased with product

After three years of solid use the battery on my NWZ-A17 Walkman was failing. This had been my second Sony Walkman and I have been pleased enough with the performance of these two players that I decided to buy my third - the NWA-45B. The NWA-45B has a very different feel to my previous models. It is wider and feels more solid in the hand. After using it for a while, I found this a comfortable design improvement. It still has an array of manual switches down the right side, but most actions can be performed on the responsive touch screen. The switches feel firm. In fact the whole unit has a nice solid quality feel. Now I am used to it, I find operating the NWA-45B much improved compared to my previous model. I seemed to spend a lot of time hitting the back button on my A17 to find my way around the menus. The same job is done with a simple swipe of the finger with the 45B. So why the 'but...' in the header? Because of the stingy memory! Anyone who buys a unit like this is probably going to own more than a measly 8GB of music - but that is all that Sony provides. Sure it has a micro SD card slot, but having just spent several hundred bucks on the Walkman, its a bit of slap in the face to then have to buy a memory card (my old A17 had 32GB). Sony does itself a disservice - instead of a 100% satisfied customer, the meagre memory has turned me into an 80% satisfied customer, and that could make all the difference in a competitive market next time around.

Everything is perfect except just like his predecessor, after a year, he often starts turning off suddenly and a couple of times it does that.
