There's not much choice in the world of noise cancelling bluetooth headphones, so I was pleased to find that Sony made a relatively affordable pair, having previously owned sony corded headphones. The noise cancelling seems to focus mainly on rumbles or low frequencies and is very noticeable in a car. It doesn't do much to screen out higher frequencies, such as speech, though it does reduce the level. Sound quality is good to my untrained ears and copes with a range of music. Pairing is very simple if you have a NFC-enabled phone and not much more difficult when done the 'traditional' bluetooth way. They seem solidly built, but don't come with a case or bag, which would have been handy.

Bought last week, for the price these are fantastic at blocking out the sound of London Traffic and Tube trains - so fantastic as a commuter. Work perfectly with my Iphone 5 & Sony Tablet. Please note which products they are compatible with. They will not currently link with my Sony W series Bravia via NFC - Which is annoying. They will pair with my PS4, But then the PS4 cannot register them. I have had to use the wire link that comes with the headphones, and connect them to the PS4 Controller, in order to get PS4 sounds to the head phones. I Got them to link via Blutooth to my Sony VAIO - but couldnt get the sound to then come out of them.. Not sure if this is the same compatibility issue as the PS4.. All in all, im really impressed, as main reason was comfortable cans, with noise cancelling that sound great - and they do this well! Just dropped a star due to no NFC with Bravia and PS4 registration.
