Good sound, powerfull bass and decent mids and highs. The bass is slightly higher than normal but not too high so that it overpowers the mids and highs which is good. The only downside to these headphones are after using them for a long period of time they start to become uncomfortable as they press against your ears a little bit tighter than what i would like.

Hello, readers. If you are looking for the best 'bang' for your buck, look no further. These headphones seriously change the way you think about music. Its the way your favourite artists wants your to hear their music. I bought the black ones. I have never bought DJ styled headphones before so I was a bit worried that they might break easily seeing that you can rotate the speakers so many angles. but they have really good build quality. you could drop these headphones hundreds of times and I don't think they would break. They feel comfortable and once you put them on, you can't take them off. I find myself using them at my computer and when I walk away even to get some food I plug them into my portable player and off I go. The sound is amazing, what I like most about them is the speaker actually vibrates at high volumes and doesn't distort. This means you really feel music. Listening to other headphones after these seem bland and boring. I find that Sony is very competitive about their pricing, same goes with these. no headphone at this price come close. I have looked and compared sound with celebrity headphones selling for over twice as much as these. and still these are my favourite. These also have good hi, lows and mids. The bass is amazing. My brother had one listen and straight away he said he's going to buy a pair. The only cons of these headphone is a little disappointing but makes sense for portable uses, is the shortness of the chord... even though the chord is great build quality its just not long enough. you can attach a extension AUX lead but it would of been nice if it was longer. As I like to walk around and get a book from my wardrobe etc. and still keep the headphones on. All and all these are great headphones, well worth the money. I wish everyone could listen to as quality sound as these produce. Thank you.

I'm no audiophile but I do know the basics of sound and audio, and I can tell you that these are one of the best pairs of headphones that I have used. The lower frequencies are extremely clean and you can literally feel the bass. Sound is undistorted at high volumes, while the mids and highs are clean with no noise (static). The styling is sleek and bold with traditional DJ style aspects for example, the bold 'Sony' logo on the headband and the swivel cup design used for DJ monitoring with one ear. These headphones provide reasonable comfort but I have to say there are more comfortable ones out there. A neat feature is the flat tangle free cable (not detachable) that is included. This will most likely be a con for DJ's as it is not coiled and not very long. Now if your just a normal consumer looking for a pair of headphones with great sound quality, then I would highly recommend trying and considering these. They are an exceptional pair of headphones and are well worth the money.
