I waited for this TV to be available and it was worth the wait. The colours are very realistic and the images very sharp, up scaling works well. I didn't buy the TV for its 3D capability but because it was built in I thought I would try it. I have to say I am very impressed with quality of the 3D images particularly from Blu-ray. It is a bonus that there is a wall bracket supplied, this is purpose made to allow the TV to sit flat to the wall and it looks impressive once mounted, the only downside is that to connect the Ethernet cable and optical audio cable the wall has to be channelled out to allow the TV to fall flat to the wall. When the firmware update for You View is available that should be a bonus too. Would have liked to have seen Facebook and Skype available in the apps and better connectivity for the I-phone, maybe that will be sorted later. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is excellent TV and offers all the input options I require. The easy mount feature locks and allows the set to hinge. I use the ARC link to my AV Amp and the result is VG.

I've only had the TV 10 days so this is very much a first impression. For us this was the most highly researched product ever, taking years! My wife never liked Flat screen HD TV because of compression artefacts, over-sharpening and smearing. Over the years manufacturers have overcome many problems, so we finally ditched our 25 year old Sony CRT for this 4K monster. I finally won the size battle. We argued over 6" for nearly two years. She said the largest the room could take was 49". I kind of agreed but the 55" has 3D and Triluminous display. Needless to say she still baulked at the size. She say when watching the One Show the two presenters are too close and she can only focus on one at a time. She doesn't like the huge reflective surface when she walks into the room and it's switched off. This has nothing to do with how good this product is though. I find at present it always starts up on You Tube or something even if you were on TV when you switched it off. There's likely some setting of which I am yet unaware. The picture is stunning as is the detail as long as you don't pixel peep. My friend said that his still pictures look better on his Sony HDTV than his Mac computer monitor and I have to agree. Without his comment though I would have put that down to the TV being fed 4k content from the Sony camera to a 4K screen because my Mac 30" Cinema Display is not 4K. I find the track pad remote's wedge shape makes it difficult to hold.My wife has no problem with it. We keep our 5:1 surround sound system switched on most of the time as the TV sound is inevitably a bit thin. I'd guess the Sony wireless subwoofer would be perfect for those without and existing sound system. I love the elegant design; not so enamoured with the TV guide, it cuts the sound and picture whilst it fires up or returns to the TV and you have to be connected to the Internet to use it. Lastly up scaled HDTV and Blu-ray look really good. sometimes difficult to tell the difference between it and the streamed 4K content from You Tube and Amazon Prime. I'm really pleased with the TV, my wife less so but that's entirely to do with the size.
