Great unit. Has lasted many years. Low resisto PSMove co troller impacts though. Having it repairs because its such a good TV

I upgraded to this TV, Great, clear definition picture. One draw back, is that I have a Home Theatre System which I purchased in 2004. I problem is that I cannot interface my DAV 150 to the new TV. Cannot receive sound directly from the TV to my sound system, only to TV via SAT setting on my DAV 150 sound system. Apart from that I'm very pleased with the new TV.

This set delivers true 4K and I think it is a must have for anyone wanting a TV that’s 60” or larger. The Colour reproduction, in most general viewing situations, is the best I’ve seen since the days of “FD Trinitron”! If you buy a TV for the image and sound, you will be “over the top” with this TV. In this price range you also expect a level of performance and function to match the price tag. In most of those tricky areas like functions and feature this TV matches the sets from its competitors but lets you down on some of the simple things like… responsiveness of the remote! Lesser known features like upscaling is the best so far in this price range and placing a “Netflix” button on the remote is a bold move. However ,the Netfix app in by far the easiest and trouble free streaming app of the 3 that I’ve tried (Presto, PSE and others). I was amazed at the clarity of the offerings in 4K content, it will give the best streaming experience next to Bluray (assuming you have adequate internet speed and capacity). The Sony android TV’s got some futuristic features like “twitter feeds” for live shows and the function and features you would expect from a top quality Smart TV. After the debacle of the earlier smart TV apps becoming obsolete (Like youtube on the 2011 range of smart TV’s ) android offers a new hope it may be supported as long as the tv lasts (but no guarantees… at least from the sales guy). I’ve found the ability to connect a Dual shock 4 wireless controller a great new feature and enhances the game Apps (although most will work with the IR remote). If only the head set that comes with the Dual shock 4 worked with the audio from live TV… (hint, hint… don’t worry about the audio delay) The big negative is responsiveness and intermittent operation of the TV. My set often experiences slowness in responding (even though the IR indicator blinks instantly) and is very noticeable when switching from Apps back to HD TV (often takes 8 to 10 seconds and sometimes needs to be pressed multiple times) and delays in using the freeview plus functions. The set refuses to change volume often and wouldn’t turn off more than once (and the latest software update didn’t change this much). I know it isn’t just my TV. Many others have commented about this being a negative of the SONY ANDROID TV experience. If it wasn’t for the frequent reminder of the TVs slow response to command/operation I would give this TV a much higher rating. If it persists past the next software update… might have to give Sony a call to come fix it! Hats off to Team SONY… 3 giant leaps forward… (err … and one step backwards).
