Jam-packed full of functionality!!!
I only had this for a few days, and wow, I'm impressed. There are so many functions jam-packed into this unit, and is nothing like my old one.
Sound quality is pretty good for a "clock radio" with 2 speakers and sounds like it has a bit of bass, although I don't think you can adjust the sound apart from the volume.
It has 2 independant alarms and I love how you can set not only the time, but choose from Radio/CD/Ipod/Buzzer, specific volume level, preset station (radio), and track number (ipod/cd) for each of the 2 alarms! I have one alarm for weekend, and the other one for Mon-Fri, so this saves me changing the wake-up time. Also the Snooze function allows you to choose how long you want to snooze for by pressing it multiple times.
It comes with a little handy remote, although I can't say much about the quality of the buttons (bubble type). It feels like one day one of the buttons will just crack.
Now, the only main thing I can pick on is the display (most other reviews will mention this as well). It looks great looking at it front-on, but if you are viewing it from the side, top or bottom, it's difficult to read. The display's brightness is dimmable (3 modes), but even on the lowest setting it is still fairly bright... it lights up my room in the middle of the night and I can even cast my own shadow on the walls. I have to cover the display to overcome this because I like my room to be dark. So Sony need to realise that with this sort of display, you should be able to dim it to the point that it's nearly off (but still be able to make out the time), because when you open your eyes in the middle of the night, your eyes are twice as sensitive. There are not many people out there that like their bedroom lit up by their digital clock!
One other small disappointment I have is you can't play an MP3 CD... only audio CD's.
Overall it's very easy to setup and am quite satisfied with the product so far.
